Thanks to a photo by @charloteburows, we can see that Empire magazine has a cool behind the scenes photo of Asa Butterfield as Ender (right in white), Suraj Partha as Alai (center), and director Gavin Hood (left).

The article was released online in May with an exclusive photo of Graff watching Ender in the Battle Room.

We’ll try to get a better look at the image soon!

    The Weekly Ender #7

Sorry for the lateness of this one, but after a snag with my flight suit, I wanted to wait to do the video so that I could update it!

For this week I’ve got costume update, a really loud airplane, and some quick thoughts on the propaganda posters.

VIDEO: Moises Arias on Ender’s Game

In their interview with Moises Arias at the Despicable Me 2 premiere, DesdeHollywood asked Moises about his experience filming Ender’s Game. Here is what he had to say:

Reporter: How was it to work on Ender’s Game with Harrison Ford, a movie that will catapult you into stardom in the entire world?

Moises: Ahm, I hope that people will really see the variety of roles that I’m doing, and that they’ll start to see the different kinds of acting that I can do. I liked it a lot, and Ender’s Game gave me a big opportunity – to be an antagonist. Kings of Summer is a comedy and Ender’s Game is solely drama. There is a very big chance that if people like it it will be one of the biggest things in my career.

Many thanks to Fernanda (@franiahs on Twitter) for the translation!

  • Ender’s Game Cast Watch #3

    Ender’s Game Cast Watch #3

I’m a bit late this week, but to be fair, there wasn’t that much to report about our young cast as far as social media announcements go – up until today, that is. Let’s have the good news first: Brandon Soo Hoo graduated High School. Congratulations, Brandon!

Also, Jimmy “Jax” Pinchak announced today via twitter that he will be joining castmates Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford at Comic Con.

Meanwhile, Abigail Breslin – again breaking the record for most tweets per day –  has been alternating sleeping on the couch (due to a bugger infestation of her room, no less) and celebrating half-Christmas with glittery wintery images on Instagram, while Asa Butterfield has been relaxing with his family in beautiful, sunny Greece.

Aramis Knight, on the other hand, has made an effort to make the world a better place in this years annual “One Child At A Time Celebrity Basketball Game” on June 23. For him, and I’m sure for many of the spectators, it was a dream come true.

Finally, Khylin Rhambo has announced that he is changing his name. Personally, I welcome the change, as I’m never quite sure if I’m spelling “Rhambo” correctly.

We’ve been seeing short videos of those cool theater lobby displays for Ender’s Game, but today at the movies I finally saw one for myself. I have no idea if the people going up to look at it were fans, but it certainly drew a lot of people to it!

  • Dragon Shirts Added to EnderNet Cafepress Store

Dragon Shirts Added to EnderNet Cafepress Store

As some of you are aware, I’m hoping to show up at Comic Con wearing a Battle School uniform. Sure, I’m way past the ripe age of recruitment, but it’s all in fun and what better fun is there to have hanging out in that epic Ender’s Game Experience wearing a Battle School outfit?

Part of the costume involves getting my hands on a bright orange t-shirt. And rather than just go down to Target to get one, I decided to get one from Cafepress. At first I was going to buy the THIRD shirt, but then thought it’d be funnier if I made a Dragon related one.

    Dragon

If you’re not sure about the reference, it’s a modification of the jeering calls made when Dragon Army shows up late to battle. The army waiting inside began to call, “Your ass is draggin’! Your ass is Dragon!”

The shirt is available in both Men’s and Women’s sizes.

Summit Entertainment will showcase the studio’s highly anticipated film event ENDER’S GAME at Comic-Con 2013, presenting never-before-seen new footage, appearances by cast members and filmmakers, and several massive, interactive fan events. A full slate of activities related to the film to be unveiled at this year’s Comic-Con, including:

Hall H Panel – The studio’s panel on Thursday, July 18th will feature ENDER’S GAME filmmakers and cast, including producer Bob Orci, director Gavin Hood, and cast members Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin.

Exclusive Fan Experience – Attendees will be able to visit an elaborate, specially constructed ENDER’S GAME exhibit outside of the Hilton Gaslamp, featuring 8 unique rooms representing the most iconic environments of Ender’s world, complete with original film props and set pieces used in the movie.  Throughout the experience, attendees will be able to see exclusive film footage on LED screens, interact with new digital content, integrate photos of themselves into the highly anticipated Battle Room, and register to win a home make over.

Convention Floor Booth – Summit Entertainment’s booth located within the Grand Hall will highlight ENDER’S GAME footage. Premium promotional items will be distributed to the 120,000 attendees walking the convention floor, and booth visitors will be given the opportunity to win “fast passes” to the ENDER’S Game Exclusive Fan Experience, granting them entry without having to wait in line.

    ENDERS GAME Film Information:

Based on the best-selling, award winning novel, ENDER’S GAME is an epic adventure directed by Gavin Hood starring Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, with Abigail Breslin and Harrison Ford. In the near future, a hostile alien race has attacked Earth. In preparation for the next attack, the humans begin training only the best students to find their future leader. Ender Wiggin, a shy, but strategically brilliant young man is pulled out of his school to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters the training, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. He is soon ordained as the military’s next great hope and is charged to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

OddLot Entertainment, K/O Paper Products, and Digital Domain are production partners on the film, with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman producing via their K/O Paper Products banner, Gigi Pritzker and Linda McDonough producing via OddLot Entertainment, along with Orson Scott Card and Lynn Hendee.

If you live in the San Diego area but don’t have tickets, you seriously need to consider heading down to see the Fan Experience. I mean look at it. EIGHT rooms of sets? Exclusive footage? And this is outside the convention, meaning you don’t need a Comic Con badge! That’s like a free set visit right there!
