battle school rp?

just an idea; has anybody given thought to a battle school rp? i've seen a few "ender's game" rps around, but they never last for very long. it was done with the harry potter series (hswcw.com), so why can't something similar be done with battle school?

I think that's a great idea, strychnine, and I'm sure a lot of people would try it out! You should definitely make a battle school rp!

On a similar note, maybe there will be one released by tptb for the movie!

if i have the time i might try making one using proboards. if i were to start one i would like a count of dedicated writers and rpers first as i would want it to stay active. also mods would be needed, as well as artists for the site skins and headers. also - i'm running a linux distro and adobe flash doesn't work. if i were to put in a chatbox i would need another mod to run the cbox. whattya say, anybody interested?

To be honest I've never done any roleplaying stuff outside of games, so I haven't the faintest what you're talking about. If you want though, I could create a RP forum here for you guys to play around in.

Strychnine: I would be an rp'er, but I'm not an artist or a great writer...lol...but I'd volunteer my moderator services, and could have my desktop at home running the chatbox, or maybe even be able to run it from my phone...lol...

I made a board category, but would need some ideas for a board name. Would you want separate boards for Earth, Battle School, and Command School?

okay, i wasn't sure if anybody would be interested, but since there does seem to be a few people willing to do it i'll start working on it after easter. i have a buddy that has done a few rp sites before and his always turn out great so i'll ask him for a few pointers next time i see him.

on another note, a quick question for the people that would use the board; what time frame would you like it to be? i was planning on making the site named 'battle school' and having it take place before the events of ender's game (since i doubt there would be much use for the battle school after ender eradicated the buggers). but would anybody prefer to have it during the events upon which the ender's game novels are based, or perhaps after? i'm open to ideas.

finally, if anybody has the time to toss a few ideas my way regarding the history of battle school, i would appreciate it. i'm going to go back over the books as i make the site, but i've been reading george r. r. martin's 'a song of ice and fire' series lately and my memory of the enderverse is a little rusty.

There is a book called The Authorized Ender Companion that has pretty much all of the info on Battle School collected form the books, as well as a special section on technology.

As far as a prequel type game or during EG, I don't have much of a preference. Prequel may allow more wiggle room (?).
