I just started reading through it, just found it at the library a week ago. I read it through pretty much the whole exposition, and things were just about to pick up. Interesting story/ideas so far, but I haven't had any time to read any more of it recently. It's funny though - I'm helping a friend expand his IT business in my area and a few of my desktop computer's broke in the last week. I feel quite sympathetic towards Victor lately, one: by throwing together my own working computers with whatever random parts I can find, with a fair amount of "McGuyvering" and also, as he loses Janda, I'm losing many of my friends as they go back to college (for a while).
Then I remind myself - I am the target audience - and it all makes sense. So I might as well pick this one up and finish it because I know when I do I probably won't put it back down until it's done. For better or for worse. I'll let you know what I think after I finish.
