Bought Children of the Mind

Bought the fourth book last night and will hopefully be done by next week! Where do you guys rank this one in your mind out of the original series? My fave is still Ender's Game. Loved Speaker for the Dead, but Xenocide took me forever to read.

I'm almost done with the last entry of the Shadow Quartet.  Then I'm going to get to work on reading Ender in Exile and all of the Ender Quartets.

I had to go back and read the end of Xenocide again cause I'd forgotten what happened. lol

I think that Children of the Mind was the best of the original 4 for me. This book is where he really perfected the new direction that he took the series and it all comes together so wonderfully with all of the earlier pieces of the series coming together and mixing in interesting ways. He really did this one masterfully.

I really like Children of the Mind...I can't claim a favorite because some really powerful things happened in all of them, but Children had a great story and ending!

It took me a while to finish it and I didn't really care for it.

Currently I have Children of the Mind in the middle of my list of favorite books. It obviously ties up Xenocide nicely and has plenty of set up for the proposed Shadows Alive. It ranks above most of the Shadow series for me.
