Listen to Ender’s Game producer Ed Ulbrich talk about conceiving of and building the “Enderverse”, the visuals and the moral messages of the movie!
Ed Ulbrich has been involved in such visually stunning movies as We Own the Night (2007) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008). After stepping down as CEO of Digital Domain in July, Ed Ulbrich remained a producer on Ender’s Game. According to our own Crystal, the backdrop and the traffic sounds in the background suggest that this may have been recorded during San Diego Comic Con earlier this year.

In this video released by the Associated Press, star Harrison Ford discusses his role and why he was attracted to Ender’s Game. Ford is asked the question of whether he gave advice to his young co-stars and responds that he doesn’t think it’s appropriate because they were all very evolved as actors. The video also features some cool behind-the-scenes footage!
Sir Ben talks about the effect of his facial tattoos while we’re treated to a look at Ender and Mazer sitting at a table and then Gavin Hood as he directs Kingsley in a scene.
Clip #5 shows us the moral argument between Graff and Anderson as he attempts to tell her she can’t resign from Battle School. In the calender, we find out that Anderson resigns her position after the shower incident.

It’s raining clips! Movieweb has also released the clip that was shown last week at the London Q&A at the Odean, an extended version of ‘Welcome to Battle School’.
Here’s yet ANOTHER clip from Ender’s Game released by Movieweb. This clip, called ‘Ready Enough’, shows Mazer Rackham and Colonel Graff debating whether Ender is the one who will lead them to victory and save them all.
In this third clip from Ender’s Game, we get to see more of the ice battle, interspersed with a conversation between Graff and Anderson.
I found this one to be a little strange. Particularly, why are Anderson and Graff sitting next to each other, then suddenly in the next shot they’re sitting across each other? And why is Anderson at Command School when the calendar told us something else? Do you think they bring her there to evaluate his mental capacity to begin actual battles?
Remember, in the book Ender trains for a bit alone before the actual transition to real battles, so perhaps this is before that point. Thoughts?
This is also the first time we hear from Bernard! And looks like we now know that the big “NOW!” is from this battle, not the final battle!
Here’s a second clip from Ender’s Game showing Ender at Command School losing a lot of ships in a battle and then being reprimanded by Mazer. I guess we finally know why Ender was being glared at in that still!

In a new clip from Ender’s Game released today by JoBlo, Graff sits with Ender outside the Wiggin home trying to convince him to come with him to Battle School.
Freshly returned from the European press tour for Ender’s Game, Odd Lot Entertainment co-founder and owner Gigi Pritzker talked to ChicagoBusiness.com about her long journey bringing Ender’s Game to the big screen.
“He was an eighth-grader who had a hard time reading, but he read this book and liked it, and that intrigued me,” Ms. Pritzker says. “I love that there was this material that a 13-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman could have a conversation about and really dig into the themes. And he said, ‘Wouldn’t it make a great movie?’
“From that day, Ms. Pritzker says, “I tried to get the thing made. And that little eighth-grade boy just had his first baby two nights ago and is getting his Ph.D. at Oxford. That’s how long it’s taken me to get this movie made.”

Last night, Harrison Ford was on BBC One’s Graham Norton Show to promote Ender’s Game. The whole show was hilarious as usual, Harrison Ford also talked about Halloween, Indiana Jones, and even a little bit about Star Wars, and it’s got some delicious Benedict Cumberbatch bits, so you might wanna watch the whole thing HERE! Before their presentation of Ender’s Game at the Odeon Leicester Square during MCM London Comic Con, Hailee Steinfeld, Sir Ben Kingsley, Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, and Gavin Hood talked to Entertainmentwise about Ender’s Game.
Not much new here, but I get some perverse enjoyment out of the reactions of Ben Kingsley, Asa Butterfield and, yes, Harrison Ford to being asked whether or not they would like to star/are starring in the next Star Wars movie. The Ben Kingsley one is cut off a bit in the beginning. If you’re interested in the whole Star Wars conversation, check it out HERE! Would someone please phone someone to get Ben Kingsley and Asa Butterfield into that movie. Look how excited they are at the prospect!
The fabulous five also talked to a couple of other news outlets prior to their London presentation. We already posted HeyUGuysUK’s interviews with Gavin Hood and Sir Ben Kingsley earlier this week.
