Last night, Hailee Steinfeld (Petra) was a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and after talking to Jimmy about learning how to drive in LA and her Halloween costume, presented a new clip of Petra offering to teach Ender some moves in the Battle Room.
Thanks to Hannah for the tip. Watch it on Hulu HERE.
Clip #5 shows us the moral argument between Graff and Anderson as he attempts to tell her she can’t resign from Battle School. In the calender, we find out that Anderson resigns her position after the shower incident.
It’s raining clips! Movieweb has also released the clip that was shown last week at the London Q&A at the Odean, an extended version of ‘Welcome to Battle School’.
Here’s yet ANOTHER clip from Ender’s Game released by Movieweb. This clip, called ‘Ready Enough’, shows Mazer Rackham and Colonel Graff debating whether Ender is the one who will lead them to victory and save them all.
In this third clip from Ender’s Game, we get to see more of the ice battle, interspersed with a conversation between Graff and Anderson.
I found this one to be a little strange. Particularly, why are Anderson and Graff sitting next to each other, then suddenly in the next shot they’re sitting across each other? And why is Anderson at Command School when the calendar told us something else? Do you think they bring her there to evaluate his mental capacity to begin actual battles?
Remember, in the book Ender trains for a bit alone before the actual transition to real battles, so perhaps this is before that point. Thoughts?
This is also the first time we hear from Bernard! And looks like we now know that the big “NOW!” is from this battle, not the final battle!
Here’s a second clip from Ender’s Game showing Ender at Command School losing a lot of ships in a battle and then being reprimanded by Mazer. I guess we finally know why Ender was being glared at in that still!
In a new clip from Ender’s Game released today by JoBlo, Graff sits with Ender outside the Wiggin home trying to convince him to come with him to Battle School.
Last night at the MCM Expo Q&A event in London, several clips were shown including the trailer, Ender’s Army, and an exclusive clip that included snippets of the propaganda video shown at Comic Con in the Ender’s Game Experience “Welcome to Battle School”. The difference is, this clip is integrated into the movie itself, and we get to see Ender watch video of Mazer’s crucial battle at what is presumably Battle School orientation.
At the Odean in London tonight, the cast and crew of Ender’s Game presented some footage from Ender’s Game, including this extended version of Ender’s Army. In the new footage, Graff tells Ender Dragon Army will consist of misfits like him.
As we reported earlier today, Harrison Ford was a guest on German TV show Wetten Dass …? (“Bet you that …”) Host Marcus Lanz interviewed him on Ender’s Game, and they showed some awesome, beautiful, mind-boggling new footage! Check out the clip below!
Translation:
Graff: The first alien attack found us unprepared. Millions of innocents lost their lives. That can never be allowed to happen again. We fought the enemy with everything we had and in the middle of the final battle a legendary hero emerged. The courage of Mazer Rackham should be an inspiration to all of you. We need minds like yours, Ender. Young people process complex data much easier than adults.
Ender: So I’m not the first?
Mazer: No, but you will be the last.
Petra or Ender: In 3 – 2 – 1.
Graff: And you will be the best commander we ever trained.
And we finally get to see the images that go with some of the score we posted about a couple of days ago. This explains why the “Battle Room” track is so light-hearted. Look how happy Ender is!
Hope you enjoy! We’ll post a vid of the interview that goes with this clip tomorrow! — Dee
This is it, Launchies! The first clip from Ender’s Game is set to debut tomorrow, October 15, 2013 on the fansites at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.
To make things a little fun, I’m giving away 10 EnderWiggin.net bookmarks to the first 10 people that comment with the right guess on what the clip is. The first person to guess correctly will also win an Ender’s Game dog tag from Comic Con. Open worldwide and you can guess as many times as you want, but limit yourself to one guess per comment! We’ll find out tomorrow if you were right!
Guessing closes when the clip goes live, which is in just under 12 hours, so start guessing!
