Valentine baked him his cake on his sixth birthday. It fell and it was terrible. Nobody knew how to cook anymore, it was the kind of crazy thing Valentine would do.
Fortunately for you, people still know how to bake, unlike the times that Ender and Valentine were living in, so here’s hoping you have a delicious cake today!

Today is April 1st, which means it’s time to wish Asa Butterfield, our Ender Wiggin, a very happy 16th birthday! For the occasion, I have a special cake.
Hope you have had a fun-filled birthday and that your year is a fantastic one!
Before anyone thinks I’m a little weird for making a real cake for someone on the other side of the planet, I should note that this cake will soon shift from a cake for Asa into a cake for me, since I share a birthday with Asa. And since I’m obviously a huge fan of Ender’s Game, a Dragon Army cake will be a fun thing to blow out tonight when my family comes over. 🙂

Happy Birthday Hailee Steinfeld (Petra)
EnderWiggin.net wishes a very happy birthday to actress Hailee Steinfeld, who turns sixteen today! Steinfeld will play Petra Arkanian in Ender’s Game.
Ender fans just made aware of the movie’s production may be wondering why she looks so familiar. In 2011, Steinfeld was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category for her performance as young Mattie Ross in True Grit.
Steinfeld has had a packed 2012, filming not only Ender’s Game, but three other films including a new adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. All four films are due out in 2013.

Ford wrapped his scenes for ‘Ender’s Game‘Â just over a month ago and has started filming on two new films, ‘42‘ and ‘Paranoia‘.
